Pre-Sea Specialized Training for Electrical & Electronics Engineers
A specialized 1-year training programme approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Government of India. Comprising 4 months of intensive residential shore-based training at AEMA followed by 8 months of structured shipboard training on Anglo-Eastern’s 700+ modern vessel fleet, preparing engineers for the DGS Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency (CoC).

Structured Shipboard TAR Training
Onboard sea-time experience as a Trainee Electro-Technical Officer across Anglo-Eastern’s 700+ modern vessel fleet with full training stipend, guided Training & Assessment Record (TAR) books, and live troubleshooting.
DGS ETO Assessment & CoC Issuance
Eligibility for the DGS ETO Certificate of Competency (CoC) written and oral examinations conducted by Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) to sail as a certified Electro-Technical Officer.

Weekly electrical theory quizzes, circuit diagram schematics, lab experiment journals, and computer-based tests (CBT) assessing automation and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
Electrical & HV Simulator Viva Voce
Direct hands-on evaluations on live PLC test benches, motor starter wiring, High Voltage switchboards (6.6kV), GMDSS radio setups, and bridge navigation simulators.
Comprehensive Final Examination
Final institutional written, practical, and oral board examination conducted at the end of the 4-month pre-sea cadre under certified Marine Electrical Officer faculty panels adhering to DGS standards.
