IMU End Semester Examination, Semester III, IV & V

SSTP Internal Assessment & Registration for IMU Exams

All AEMA cadets who are doing/ completed their 18 months of onboard training and looking forward to appear in IMU End semester Examination, Semester III, IV & V are supposed to fill the below google form-

i) Request for internal assessment & registration for DLP exams, please fill the required google form
ii) If you want to update your email address in respective google group (batch wise), please fill the required google form

Please Note –
i) While filling the form please read the given instructions/ description carefully
ii) For any wrong entry or misleading information the respective cadet will be held accountable
iii) Files once uploaded, cannot be edited/replaced. Please pay due attention while uploading the required files.

Ship Clearance after sign off

Any cadet looking for ship clearance must fill the given google form for registration. The relevant responses will be extracted every Monday by 3PM .The required dates/ schedule for ship clearance shall be notified by separate email on first come, first served basis. This form does not include midterm registration or final SSTP clearance. This is the registration form for first ship, 2nd ship ( in case midterm is not planned), 3rd ship etc. clearances. All cadets looking for clearance are advised to allow at least one week for the process, for a couple of hours on daily basis. Zoom link for the meeting shall be sent on separate email and the link will remain active for a week. You must ensure good internet connectivity and proper working of audio and video system to have interactive session. Tentative schedule for ship clearance is as follows:

Procedure for Obtaining B.Sc. (Applied Nautical Science) Degree

A. Eligibility Criteria for Obtaining B.Sc. (Applied Nautical Science) Degree

A candidate who wants B.Sc. (Applied Nautical Science) Degree must make at least one attempt in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th-semester examination conducted by IMU before appearing in 2nd mates examinations (6th semester) otherwise they will be not considered for award of degree.

Thereafter, the student may complete the 2nd Mate examination. 6th-semester marks will be uploaded after the student intimates to IMU that he/she has completed the 2nd Mate examination.
After successful completion of all the above steps the student will be allowed to register for convocation.

B. Process for obtaining Provisional certificate, Consolidated Marksheet and Degree Certificate

Students of Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc. (Applied Nautical Science) who have completed the programme in all respect i.e. updation of Second Mate marks issued by DG, Shipping (student has to provide the same), updation of practical and internal marks from the respective Institutes/Campuses will be eligible for issue of Provisional Degree Certificate and the Consolidated Mark Sheets.
For students of IMU Campuses, the Provisional Degree Certificate and the Consolidated Mark Sheets will be sent to the concerned IMU Campuses within one month from the date of publication of revaluation results.

For students of Affiliated Institutes, the Provisional Degree Certificate and the Consolidated Mark Sheet will be sent to the concerned student’s home address through “Speed Post” within one month from the date of publication of revaluation results.
The provisional certificate issued is valid till the issue of the Degree Certificate after convocation.
For knowing the present status, students may write an email to dlp@imu.ac.in with the subject title “Status of Provisional Certificate for DLP Programme- (Student Name, IMU Registration Number)-reg

Time Period for response: IMU ordinarily will take a minimum of 15 working days to respond to the students’ query after going through the records. For details please refer to the question no. 6 and 9 of IMU FAQs page click here for reference.

Procedure for Name Change/ Correction and/or DOB Correction in IMU Database

A. Correction of Name and/or Date of Birth in case of correction such as spelling mistake or month and year mismatch, etc.?

IMU will correct the Name or Date of Birth of the Student as per the Name or Date of Birth mentioned in SSLC/XII Std Certificate. Student has to send his/her letter addressed to the Controller of Examinations, IMU along with a Copy of SSLC or XII Standard Certificates and receipt for payment of requisite Fees through the concerned IMU Director (in case of the student studying in IMU Campuses)/ through Concerned Principal of the Affiliated Institute (in case of the student studying in Affiliated Institutes).

B. Name Change in the IMU Database/ Certificates?

In case, a student wish to change his name for any reasons and needs for name updation in IMU database/certificates, then they have to publish their new name in the Gazette and obtain new SSLC, H.Sc Certificates etc. with their name, and then they can send their request letter addressed to the Controller of Examinations, IMU along with a Copy of the Gazette publication for new name, SSLC or XII Standard Certificates with new name and receipt for payment of requisite Fees through their concerned IMU Campus Director (in case of the student studying in IMU Campuses)/ through Concerned Principal of the Affiliated Institute (in case of the student studying in Affiliated Institutes).

C. Payment Method

1. Go to IMU Website
2. Click on ACADEMICS followed by ONLINE PAYMENT OF ACADEMIC FEE
3. Please go through the details available on webpage and Click here for making Online Payment of Academic Fees.
4. Please read the terms and conditions carefully and click/check the box and press proceed button.
5. Select Payment Category as Academic Fees and, Putpose of the fee as Name/ Date of Birth Correction Fee.
6. Please fill all the required details minutely (without any error)
7. Applicable Fees – Rs. 500 (+18% GST) for each correction. {i.e. Rs. 590}
